Brooklyn Heights Apartment
This project transformed two adjacent studio apartments within a historic 1940s Art Deco building into a single, light-filled home. The renovation embraced the building's original character, drawing from its Art Deco language through carefully considered detailing, materials, and fixtures. A palette of warm woods, soft color, and understated mid-century furnishings lends the interiors a sense of warmth and quiet familiarity. Every intervention was considered to ensure the apartment feels as though it has always existed in its current form. One of existing kitchens was reconfigured and renovated while the second kitchen was removed to become a dedicated home office, and the primary bathroom was expanded to create a more generous suite.
